Publication Ethics — International Journal of Global Innovations and Modern Research (IJGIMR)
Introduction
The International Journal of Global Innovations and Modern Research (IJGIMR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical behavior and integrity in academic publishing. All stakeholders involved in the publishing process — including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher — must adhere to these ethical guidelines to ensure transparency, fairness, and quality of research.
1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to IJGIMR must:
- Originality & Plagiarism: Ensure that the work submitted is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by any other journal. Proper citation of others’ work and ideas is mandatory. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
- Authorship: Only individuals who have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript should be listed as authors. All authors must approve the final version before submission.
- Data Integrity: Present accurate data without fabrication, falsification, or manipulation. Authors may be asked to provide raw data for verification if required.
- Conflict of Interest: Disclose all financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the findings or interpretation of results.
- Ethical Research Conduct: Research involving humans or animals must follow ethical guidelines with appropriate approvals from institutional review boards, and statements of ethical approval must be included in the manuscript.
- Duplicate Submission: Submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal at a time is unethical and unacceptable.
2. Duties of Editors and the Editorial Board
Editors at IJGIMR are responsible for:
- Fair Publication Decisions: Manuscripts should be judged based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance, regardless of authors’ affiliations, gender, nationality, or other characteristics.
- Confidentiality: All submission-related information must remain confidential and shared only with reviewers and appropriate editorial staff.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors must recuse themselves from decisions if there is a conflict of interest with authors or institutions.
- Handling Misconduct: In cases of suspected ethical violations (e.g., plagiarism, data manipulation), editors will investigate and take appropriate action including correction, retraction, or rejection.
3. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers should:
- Objective & Timely Review: Provide fair, unbiased, and constructive feedback within reasonable time frames.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Manuscripts under review must not be shared or discussed with others without permission.
- Disclosure of Conflicts: Inform the editor of any conflicts of interest that could affect impartial review.
4. Publisher’s Role
The publisher of IJGIMR ensures:
- Ethical Oversight: The journal adheres to international ethical standards and best practices.
- Transparency: The publication process, including peer review and editorial decisions, is clear and transparent to authors and readers.
- Retractions & Corrections: If errors or ethical violations are detected post-publication, the journal will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as needed.
5. Misconduct and Ethical Violations
IJGIMR will investigate and act on any allegations of:
- Plagiarism or duplicate publication
- Fabrication/falsification of data
- Unethical authorship practices
- Conflicts of interest not disclosed at submission
Appropriate corrective actions may include rejection, correction, or retraction of published articles.
